Some Favorite Photography Websites

The internet can be a wonderful place when you can ignore most of the garbage that can be found in it. I've compiled a list of sites that I frequently visit, because as a photographer, I NEVER stop learning. So much has happened so fast in the modern photography era that my head still swims with information overload. So here are a few sites for you to find great information on, with my thoughts on each of them.

http://fstoppers.com/ - A valuable source of all things photographic for the professional photographer.

http://www.dxomark.com/ and http://www.dpreview.com/ - Two great sites for the latest and greatest reviews on cameras, lenses, and other photographic equipment.

http://www.ppa.com/ - Professional Photographers of America. A wonderful site for professional photographers. Membership includes a subscription of Professional Photographer magazine, $15,000 in photo equipment insurance, and a vast resource for education, ethics, certification, an indemnification trust for members, and photographic competitions. An absolute must for any pro photographer for the business side of their business.

And finally (for this blog update), a humorous look at all the phases a photographer goes through for HDR (high dynamic range) photography!
